Khambale Village · Trimbak Road · Nashik

A quiet bloom on the Trimbak road.

Chafa — Marathi for the plumeria — is a boutique eco-stay and multi-cuisine restaurant built for slow weekends, unhurried meals, and gatherings that linger long after dessert.

The story

A flower we'd rather not hurry past.

Chafa is freshly open under new ownership — a property reborn on the quiet stretch of road between Nashik and Trimbakeshwar. The land is the same. The trees, including a generous plumeria standing watch in the courtyard, are the same. Almost everything else has changed.

The new Chafa is built around a small idea: that a weekend should feel longer than it actually is. Seven rooms. One kitchen. A pool. A bar under a sloping thatch roof. Enough lawn for the evening to spread out, and few enough guests that nobody is in your way.

चाफा n. The Marathi name for the plumeria — the flower that quietly perfumes summer evenings along old Maharashtrian verandahs.
